The People Behind the Story

Behind the Watchers

The Omega Watchers began with one unsettling question:

What if humanity’s oldest stories were not mythology, but fragmented memories of something real?

Created by Jane E. Woodlee Hedrick, an author and independent scholar of biblical prophecy, the series explores the hidden intersection of ancient history, supernatural intelligence, spiritual deception, emerging technology, and the approaching end of the age.

Today, Jane and J. Ryan Kersey are expanding that original vision into a broader thriller universe built around archaeological mysteries, psychological realism, hidden history, nonhuman intelligence, and the enduring struggle between truth and deception.

About Jane E. Woodlee Hedrick

Jane E. Woodlee Hedrick

Author, Creator & Independent Scholar of Biblical Prophecy

Jane E. Woodlee Hedrick is the creator of The Omega Watchers series and an award-winning author of biblically rooted speculative thrillers exploring ancient mysteries, prophecy, spiritual conflict, and the hidden forces shaping human history.

Born in Harlan County, Kentucky, Jane attended Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee. She later built a successful career in marketing and sales management before retiring in 2012 and beginning the novel that would launch The Omega Watchers universe.

For decades, Jane has independently studied biblical prophecy, eschatology, ancient history, Hebrew and extra-biblical traditions, spiritual warfare, and the religious significance of emerging global events. Her fiction draws upon that research to examine how ancient accounts, modern institutions, extraterrestrial and nonhuman intelligence, paranormal phenomena, and technological transformation might intersect within a larger spiritual conflict.

Jane’s novels blend theological inquiry with archaeological mystery, supernatural suspense, geopolitical intrigue, speculative science, and emotionally driven storytelling. Her work explores the contested territory between faith and skepticism, science and spirituality, human progress and spiritual deception.

Rather than presenting fiction as a substitute for scholarship, Jane uses story as a vehicle for investigation, inviting readers to question familiar assumptions, examine ancient sources, and consider whether humanity’s oldest traditions may preserve fragments of a reality modern civilization has forgotten.

At the heart of her work is one enduring question:

“What if humanity’s oldest accounts are not merely mythology, but fragments of a hidden reality now returning to the surface?”

Jane’s published Omega Watchers novels include:

  • The Omega Watchers: As It Was in the Days of Noah
  • The Third Strand
  • Daughter of Zebulon
  • The Fall of Mystery Babylon

As the originating creative voice behind the series, Jane established its characters, prophetic foundation, supernatural mythology, and enduring conflict between truth and deception.

Nathan Brotman

Original Research Assistant — Books One through Four

Nathan Brotman served as Jane E. Woodlee Hedrick’s research assistant for the original four books in The Omega Watchers series. His decades of independent research into ancient civilizations, biblical history and prophecy, geopolitics, science, UFOs and UAPs, and megalithic monuments helped shape the series’ mythology and historical foundation.

His fascination with ancient mysteries began with the Egyptian pyramids and grew into a lifelong pursuit of the connections between history, belief, science, and unexplained phenomena. Nathan’s father, Manny Brotman, founded Beth Messiah, recognized as the first Messianic Jewish congregation in the United States, and inspired the character Dr. Manny Brotman—The character is inspired by him but remains a work of fiction.

Now retired, Nathan continues researching current events and hopes to visit many of the ancient sites he has studied throughout his life.

The Story Behind The Omega Watchers

A Story Reawakened

The objective was to reveal everything already waiting beneath its surface.

Jane created The Omega Watchers as a collision between biblical prophecy, ancient history, supernatural deception, and the human search for truth.

Years after the first novel was published, Jane and Ryan began a comprehensive reexamination of the series. The objective was not to replace the original story, dilute its spiritual foundation, or separate it from the convictions that inspired it.

Together, they are developing an expanded Omega Watchers universe that preserves the spiritual heartbeat of Jane’s original work while strengthening its archaeological mystery, thriller structure, character development, speculative science, intelligence elements, and emotional depth.

The expanded vision is designed to reach readers interested in:

  • ancient civilizations and forbidden history
  • archaeological and religious thrillers
  • UAPs and nonhuman intelligence
  • government secrets and covert operations
  • biblical prophecy and eschatology
  • supernatural suspense
  • psychology and spiritual deception
  • emerging technologies and humanity’s future

The result is a story world that leads readers to the edge of the known, opens the sealed door, and invites them to investigate what might be waiting beyond it.

“What if the greatest transformation in human history is also the greatest deception?”
